Summary

I am Aiden Ardoullie, a Belgian illustrator, character designer and concept artist looking for an opportunity to work with a video game or animation studio, in a tabletop company or working in comics and book illustrations.

My path was lead by my overflowing creativity and my need to tell stories and imagine whole new worlds. It’s what lead to become an artist after to Bachelors in Art. (Illustration and comics, and digital arts.)

I have a passion in world building and storytelling, which results in me conceptualizing and designing many characters, environment and stories. My natural curiosity pushes me to do a lot of research use my knowledge to bring those worlds to life and I always try to bring a lot of diversity and personality to my characters.

A comics project I created for the Musée L at Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium.
The public relations part of the museum regularly creates creative workshops for people of all ages. For this reason, I proposed to make a comic based on one the art pieces they have int their exhibition : Greek pottery.
I studied and implemented the whole of Ancient Greek pottery styles in this project, from it's beginning to it's end and include some local variants.
I wanted to unite the idea of creation, creation of gods, of men, by men, and the idea that everything works in a cycle throughout history.
It will be made into a regular comics but, at the request of the cultural mediators, I also adapted it for a Japanese street theatre, or Kamishibai.
It was accomplished in 6 months, between my various other tasks for the Museum.
